About Coastal Care Vitality
Physician-Led. Mission-Driven. Designed for Better Care.
Coastal Care Vitality was created around a simple belief: primary care should feel personal, proactive, and deeply connected.
This practice is led clinically by Dr. Shonna McGee, whose medical judgment, experience, and patient relationships define the standard of care delivered here.
At the same time, Coastal Care Partners serves as the innovation and customer experience driver — building the systems, structure, and environment that allow better medicine to happen.
Together, that partnership creates something different.
Our Team

Dr. Shonna McGee, MD
Dr. McGee earned her medical degree in 2007, completed her residency at Mercer University in 2010, and her fellowship at Memorial University Medical Center. For more than 15 years, she has practiced medicine in Savannah, building trusted relationships with patients across the community.
She brings a steady, relationship-centered approach to care — one that prioritizes thoughtful listening, proactive planning, and long-term partnership.
Her decision to lead Coastal Care Vitality was rooted in a desire to practice medicine in a model that allows more time, more access, and deeper connection.
“Our membership model gives me the time to connect with and focus on the whole person, so I can not only treat illness but also prevent it. Medicine should be forward-looking — preserving vitality, mobility, and cognitive strength through every stage of life.”
Here, clinical decisions remain fully physician-directed. Every diagnosis, treatment plan, and medical recommendation is guided by Dr. McGee's professional expertise and medical judgment.

Blair Sewell, FNP
Blair serves as both a provider for Coastal Care Vitality and as the lead Nurse Practitioner for MD on Demand, our innovative hybrid house call service combining virtual visits with in-home nursing support.
A Savannah native, Blair brings a strong background in pediatrics and school nursing, having served at Memorial Health in pediatric hematology/oncology and as the school nurse at Blessed Sacrament Catholic School.
She is a proud graduate of the University of Georgia and a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. Blair is married with four children and enjoys boating, time with family and friends, and spending time with her dog, Tucker.
Her approach is attentive, accessible, and deeply rooted in community.

Ansley Powell, WHNP
Ansley earned her Bachelor of Nursing from the College of Coastal Georgia and spent four years as a NICU and High-Risk Perinatal Nurse. In 2019, she received her Master of Nursing from the University of South Alabama, specializing in Women's Health, and is board-certified by the National Certification Corporation.
Throughout her career, Ansley has provided comprehensive OBGYN care at Women's Care at Memorial Health Medical Center. She has also pursued advanced training in Aesthetic Medicine, driven by her passion for creating a space dedicated to wellness and medically guided aesthetic care.
At Coastal Care Vitality, she blends advanced aesthetic treatments and holistic wellness services — from hormone balancing to customized aesthetic procedures — all thoughtfully tailored to promote long-term well-being for both men and women.
The Coastal Care Partners Vision
Innovation in Experience. Strength in Leadership.

Coastal Care Vitality operates within the broader Coastal Care Partners medical organization.
At the organizational level, clinical leadership is guided by Dr. Sanjay Iyer, Chief Medical Officer of Coastal Care Partners. In his role, Dr. Iyer helps shape the overarching clinical standards, long-term medical strategy, and commitment to excellence that define the Coastal Care medical ecosystem.
Within each practice, physicians lead patient care and clinical decision-making. Coastal Care Partners is intentional about recruiting exceptional clinical providers and creating an environment where they can practice at their highest level — supported, not constrained, by thoughtful systems and strong infrastructure.
The result is a model that pairs strong physician direction with purposeful innovation — creating an environment where better medicine can happen.
